Types of Tint
Percentage of Shade
The percentage of tinted windows refers to Visible Light Transmission (VLT), which indicates how much visible light can pass through the window tint.
A lower VLT percentage means a darker tint and a higher percentage means a lighter tint.
When a window tint is listed as "35%," it means that 35% of visible light can pass through the tint.
Each tint type offers unique features that cater to different needs and preferences, like heat rejection, UV protection, and clarity.
Ceramic tint is a newer type of window tint that is becoming increasingly popular. It is made from a mixture of ceramic and non-metallic materials, making it more durable and long-lasting than other types of window tint.
Carbon tint is made from carbon particles. It provides excellent heat and glare reduction and blocks up to 99% of UV rays. Carbon tint is more affordable than ceramic and high-performance tint.
